CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING CHARLOTTE JOHNSON OF BURLINGAME.
WHEREAS, Charlotte Johnson has completed twenty-four
years of public service with the City of Burlingame and will
retire upon the expiration of her current position as City
Councilwoman of Burlingame, and
WHEREAS, during these years of devoted work in public
life she served with honor in numerous capacities, and
WHEREAS, her activities and accomplishments include
membership on the Library Board from 1948-1955, member of
City Council of Burlingame 1955-1972, Mayor of Burlingame
from 1959-1960, 1963-1964, 1968-1@6@, and
WHEREAS, her interests in athletics and creative writing
have culminated in membership with the Burlingame Writers'
Club, and
WHEREAS, she has been a devoted wife and mother;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco that this Council does commend
and honor Charlotte Johnson for the constructive wisdom and
effervescence she has injected into the public life of Burlingame.
