HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 5849-1972RESOLUTION NO. 5849 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO RECEIPT OF TAX MONIES FROM THE MILLS- ALQUIST-DEDDEH ACT. WHEREAS, the Mills-Alquist-Deddeh Act allocates monies for the study of rapid transit to localities faced with the problem of mass transportation, and WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco and other San Mateo County cities believe they are best equipped to deter- mine what their true needs for mass transportation systems are, and WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County desires to establish a County-held trust fund of monies accrued from passage of the Mills-Alquist-Deddeh Act; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that monies which may be due the City of South San Francisco from taxes derived pursuant to the Mills-Alquist-Deddeh Act shall be received by the City of South San Francisco and not left on deposit with the County of San Mateo. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a held on the 15%h day of May the following vote: regular meeting , 19 72 , by AYES, COLTNCILMEN Patrick E.
