CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE MASTER FEE SCHEDULE
TO REFLECT REVISED PARKING RATES AT THE MILLER
AVENUE PARKING GARAGE OF $0.50 PER HOUR AT
METERS, AND PERMIT RATES OF $1.50 PER DAY, $20 PER
MONTH, AND $220 PER YEAR.
WHEREAS, in January of 2011, the Parking Place Commission approved initial meter and
permit rates for the Miller Avenue Parking Garage, setting rates at $1 per hour, $3 per day, $40 per
month and $440 per year consistent with other prime parking spaces in the District; and
WHEREAS, the Miller Avenue Parking Garage opened for business in late April 2011, with
the initial two months (May & June) offered free of charge to promote usage; and
WHEREAS, due to a variety of factors, including the poor economic climate, the parking
garage has not attracted the usage that had been anticipated; and
WHEREAS, the parking rate reductions, together with improved internal and external
signage and other promotional materials are proposed to bring additional users to the garage; and
WHEREAS, the Parking Place Commission held a hearing on the matter on February 14,
2012, and subsequently approved the proposed rate reductions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby approves an amendment to the Master Fee Schedule to
incorporate the changes shown in Attachment A.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 14 day of March,
2012 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mark Addiego, Karyl Matsumoto, and Kevin Mullin,
Vice Mayor Pedro Gonzalez and Mayor Richard A. Garbarino
