CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION
TO THE GOVERNOR, STATE LEGISLATURE
AND OTHER AGENCIES OF THE STATE OF
CALIFORNIA AND FEDERAL AGENCIES FOR
EMERGENCY FLOOD RELIEF AND RELATED AID.
WHEREAS, on October 11, 1972, the City Manager of the
City of South San Francisco found that due to heavy rains and
floods a condition of extreme peril to life and property, did
exist in the City of South San Francisco, California, and,
WHEREAS, in accordance with State law the City Manager,
as Director of Emergency Services, proclaimed an emergency
did exist throughout said City, and,
WHEREAS, it has now been found that local resources are
unable to cope with the effects of said emergency;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby proclaimed and ordered that:
1. A copy of the Director of Emergency Services Proclama-
tion and this Resolution be forwarded to the Governor of the
State of California with the request that he proclaim the City
of South San Francisco to be a state of emergency, and,
2. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the State
Office of Emergency Services and other State and Federal
agencies, and
3. That the City Manager as Director of Emergency Services
is hereby designated as the authorized representative of the
City of South San Francisco for the purpose of receipt, process-
ing and coordination of all inquiries and requirements necessary
to obtain State and Federal assistance.
