HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 5983-1972 RESOLUTION NO. 59.83 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION REQUESTING ADOPTION OF REGULATIONS BY THE SAN MATE0 COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT. WHEREAS, the Colma Creek watershed within the San Mateo County Flood Control District contains approximately 10,000 acres, 6,000 of which are outside the jurisdiction of the City of South San Francisco, and WHEREAS, use and development of land in said watershed (including but not limited to grubbing, clearing,, grading and construction of private and public facilities) affect flood and storm waters within said watershed, and WHEREAS, uniform reasonable regulations of land use and development which affect flood and storm waters within said watershed are needed to protect the watercourses, watershed, harbors, public highways, life and property in said district from such flood and storm waters. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City. of South San Francisco that the Council does by this Resolution respectfully request that the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors as Directors of the San Mateo County Flood Control District adopt uniform reasonable regulations of land use and development which affect flood and storm waters within the Colma Creek watershed to protect the watercourses, water- shed, harbors, public highways, life and property in said District from such flood and storm waters as they may be adversely affected thereby.
