CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING GENERAL
PLAN AMENDMENT PURSUANT TO
PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION
NO. 2125 - PUBLIC FACILITIES
ELEMENT (POLICE FACILITY).
WHEREAS, the proposed amendment to the City's General
Plan is set forth in the document entitled, "Amendment to
General Plan - Public Facilities Element (Police Facility),"
attached hereto as Exhibit "A," and
WHEREAS, on the 13th day of November, 1972, by Resolution
No. 2125, the Planning Commission of the City of South San
Francisco approved and recommended same to the Council as
set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and
WHEREAS, the Council, pursuant to the Government Code
of the State of California, duly set a hearing thereon for
the 4th day of December, 1972, notice of which was published
in the "Enterprise-Journal," a newspaper of general circula-
tion printed and circulated in the City of South San Francisco,
and which date of publication was more than ten (10) days
prior to the date set for said hearing, and the affidavit
of said publication is on file in the office of the City
Clerk, and
WHEREAS, the Council did hold said hearing on said date
and did thereupon consider said amendment and the statements
and communications made at said hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT:
1. The Council hereby adopts the amendment to the City's
General Plan designated Amendment - Public Facilities Element
(Police Facility) as set forth on Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
2. The said amendment be endorsed as adopted by this
Resolution and the Mayor and City Clerk shall execute said
endorsement.

PASSED NOVEMBER 13, 19 72
Amendment to the Plan Diagram
The Plan Diagram shall be and is hereby amended
to shOw that the future "Police Facility" be
established at the northwesterly corner of
Grand and Chestnut Avenues.
Amendment to the Text of the Public Facilities Element
The text of the Public Facilities General Plan Element,
at Page 45, shall be and is hereby amended to read as
follows:
The existing Police Station, located within
the Civic Center, contains insufficient
space to adequately house the police function
in the future. A new Police Station should
be constructed at or near the northwesterly
corner of Grand and Chestnut Avenues.
