HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 6013-1973 RESOLUTION N0. 60~5 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING DECLARATION OF LOCAL EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 622 of the City of South San Francisco empowers the Director of Emergency Services to proclaim the existence or threatened existence of a local emergency when said city is affected or likely to be affected by a public calamity and the City Council is not in session, subject to ratification by the City Council within seven days; and WHEREAS, on or about 6:00 a.m., January 16, 1973, con- ditions of extreme peril to the safety of persons and prop- erty occurred within this city caused by flood and storms, at which time the City Council of the City of South San Francisco was not in session; and WHEREAS, said City Council does hereby find that the aforesaid conditions of extreme peril did warrant and neces- sitate the proclamation of the existence of a local emergency; and WHEREAS, the Director of Emergency Services of the City of South San Francisco did proclaim the existence of a local emergency within said city on the 16th day of January, 1973; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that the Proclamation of Existence of a Local Emergency, as issued by said Director of Emergency Services, is hereby ratified and confirmed by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco; and IT IS FURTHER PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that said local emer- gency shall be deemed to continue to exist until its termination is proclaimed by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, State of California. ® I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a special meeting held on the 19,h day of January 19 73, by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN Patrick E.
