CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING RICHARD BATTAGLIA.
WHEREAS, on January 16, 1973, heavy rains once again cat-
apulted their stormy fingers upon this fair city, and
WHEREAS, Richard Battaglia and fellow cohort Ronald
Erickson came upon an entrapped victim of this storm to find
a woman caged in her automobile as water swarmed over its roof
at the location of Ponderosa Road and South Fairway Drive, and
WHEREAS, Messrs. Battaglia and Erickson braved the rush
of water and mud to extricate this helpless victim from pos-
sible drowning;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Council does com-
mend Messrs. Battaglia and Erickson for their courageous con-
duct and civic dedication.
