CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING RONALD ERICKSON.
WHEREAS, on January 16, 19 73, heavy rains once again
catapulted their stormy fingers upon this fair city, and
WHEREAS, Ronald Erickson and fellow cohort Richard Battaglia
came upon an entrapped victim of this storm to find a woman
caged in her automobile as water swarmed over its roof at
the location of Ponderosa Road and South Fairway Drive, and
WHEREAS, Messrs. Erickson and Battaglia braved the rush
of water and mud to extricate this helpless victim from pos-
sible drowning;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Council does
commend Messrs. Erickson and Battaglia for their courageous
conduct and civic dedication.
