HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 6050-1973 RESOLUTION NO. 6050 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CITY OF PACIFICA'S PUBLIC NUISANCE LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST CITY OF SAN FRANCISCO FOR INJUNCTIVE RELIEF TO PROHIBIT OPERATION OF SAN FRANCISCO COUNTY JAIL AND AUTHORIZATION TO CITY ATTORNEY TO JOIN CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AS' PARTY PLAINTIFF TO SAID SUIT. WHEREAS, the operation of the San Francisco County Jail at San Bruno, County of San Mateo, has proven to be a public nuisance to the residents of the City of South San Francisco by reason of negligent maintenance, control, and supervision of said facility, and WHEREAS, County Jail escapees, dangerous to the health and safety of residents of this and other cities of this County, constitute the most overt manifestation of negligent maintenance, control, and supervision at this facility; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco: 1. That Fifty Dollars ($50.00) be given to the City Attorney's Department, City of Pacifica as legal fees for the prosecution of this injunctive action in the behalf of the City of South San Francisco; and 2. That the City Attorney be authorized to join the City of South San Francisco as a party plaintiff in the above-entitled suit.
