HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 26-2012 RESOLUTION NO. 26 -2012 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH THE SAN MATEO COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO SHARROW AND STRIPING PROGRAM LOCATED IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO WHEREAS, City of South San Francisco (City) staff recommends approval of the funding agreement between the San Mateo County Transportation Authority and the City of South San Francisco; and WHEREAS, the City is eligible to receive Measure A funding for various bicycle improvement projects throughout the City, through the San Mateo County Transportation Authority; and WHEREAS, the funding agreement must be executed with the San Mateo County Transportation Authority before any such Measure A funds can be obtained; and WHEREAS, the City wishes to delegate authorization to execute this agreement and any amendments with the San Mateo County Transportation Authority to the City Manager; and WHEREAS, the 2011 -2012 Capital Improvement Program ( "CIP ") will be amended to include the South San Francisco Sharrow and Striping Program and a project budget established. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby approves the funding agreement between the City and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council authorizes the Finance Department to establish the South San Francisco Sharrow and Striping Program Budget ( "Project Budget ") consistent with the information contained in the staff report, with funding appropriated as follows: New Measure A Funds (Grant) $ 81,200.00 Gas Tax $ 34,800.00 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the funding agreement on behalf of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney. * * * * * -1- I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 28 day of March, 2012 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark Addiego, Karyl Matsumoto, and Kevin Mullin, Vice Mayor Pedro Gonzalez and Mayor Richard A.
