CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
OF AGREEMENT FOR TRAFFIC ENGINEERING
SERVICES WITH COUNTY OF SAN MATEO.
.WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo has the capability
of performing important traffic engineering services in the
specific area of traffic accidents, and
WHEREAS, these services constitute an important aid
to superior traffic enforcement and administration by the
South San Francisco Police Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of South San Francisco that the Mayor be
authorized to execute the agreement as described in Exhibit
A attached, and the City Clerk attest his signature thereto.

AGREEMENT FOR TRAFFIC ENGINEERING SERVICES
· · THIS AGREEMENT, executed this 2nd day of Apri I , 19 73, by
and between the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, hereinafter called "County", and the
CITY OF South San Francisco, hereinafter called "City"'
WITNE S SETH:
WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that City, from time to time,
undertake traffic engineering studies and planning projects; and
IFAEREAS, County has the personnel and facilities for the performance
of such traffic engineering studies and planning projects on behalf of City,
and is willin~ to perform such services upon the terms and conditions herein-
after set forth:
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED BY THE PARTIES HERETO that:
1. SERVICES. Upon request of City, 'County shall perform specified
traffic engineering services, including, but not limited to, preparation of
traffic reports, design of traffic signal systems, and preparation of channeli-
zation plans.
2. COMPENSATION. In consideration of County performing such traffic
engineering services, City shall compensate County upon the basis of cost per
man-hour for each man performing services hereunder,. Based upon hourly wage
rates established by County's Civil Service Co,--ission, plus administrative
overhead at the rate of 437. of said man-hour cost.
3. TERM. The term of this agreement shall be for five (5) years, provided
chat it shall be continued for succeeding five-year terms to a maximum of
~venty-five years unless terminated as hereafter provided. This agreement
may be terminated by either party upon thirty days' written notice to the
other party.
