CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS AND
DECLARING RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ON MAY 22, 1973.
WHEREAS, a special municipal election was held in and
throughout the City of South San Francisco on the 22nd day
of May, 1973, for the election of one member of the City
Council (unexpired term), and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has duly presented to the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco all the returns
of the votes cast at said municipal election, and
WHEREAS, said City Council has inspected and examined
all said returns;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
said City that said Council finds as follows:
That Eight Thousand Five Hundred and Four (8,504) votes
were cast (five of which were invalid) in the City of South
San Francisco for the office of City Councilman (unexpired
term);
That the names of persons voted for as submitted at said
special municipal election are as follows:
(a) As regularly-nominated candidates:
Arthur G. Elliott
Donald F. Gamma
Glenn J. Hauck
Milton W. Henke, Sr.
Elmer Hitchcock
Terry J.. Mirri
John Robert Penna
Alfred V. Romine
Frank L. Rosati
John D. Sciarra

RESULTS OF SAID SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
That the record of the votes cast at said special municipal
election in favor of said candidates as shown by the official
count at each of the several precincts established throughout

said City by said City Council for the purpose of conducting
said election is as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto,
the same being a tabulation of the votes by precincts.
That the votes cast at said special municipal election
in favor of said candidates for the office of City Councilman
(unexpired term) by absentee ballot as shown by the official
count, and included in the totals set forth in Exhibit "A",
are as follows:

That the totals of the various votes cast at said special
municipal election in favor of the several candidates for
Councilman (unexpired term) are as follows:

That the City Council of said City hereby declares as
follows:
That Terry J. Mirri was duly elected at said special
municipal election as a member of the City Council of said
City for the unexpired term.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of said City
shall, and he is hereby ordered to, issue Certificate of
Election to Terry J. Mirri as member of the City Council
of said City for the unexpired term.
