CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO TRANSFER OF
THAT CERTAIN TERRITORY BEING A PORTION
OF THE MARKET STREET RAILWAY RIGHT-OF-
WAY SOUTH OF MISSION ROAD FROM THE CITY
OF THE TOWN OF COLMA TO THE CONTIGUOUS
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of the Town of
Colma has adopted its Resolution No. 171, a copy of which
is marked Exhibit I, attached hereto and by reference incorpo-
rated herein, and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of
South San Francisco to clarify its boundary and to include
the territory described in Exhibit A to the Town of Colma
resolution, which Exhibit A is attached hereto and by refer-
ence incorporated herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco does hereby consent to the
transfer from the City of the Town of Colma to the City of
South San Francisco of the territory fully described in said
Exhibit A, attached hereto and by reference incorporated
herein.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution of consent
be filed with the Board of Supervisors of the County of San
Mateo in accordance with Title 4, Division 2, Part 2, Chapter 1,
Article 4.5 of the Government Code of the State of California.

RESOLUTION NO. ~
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF THE TOWN OF
COLM~ INITIATING PROCEEDINGS TO TRANSFER THAT CERTAIN
TERRITORY BEING A PORTION OF THE MARKET STREET RAILWAY
RIGHT OF WAY SOUTH OF MISSION ROAD FROM THE CITY OF THE
TOWN OF COLMA TO THE CONTIGUOUS CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of the Town of
Colma, County of San Mateo, California, has been informed that
that certain territory located on the Market' Street Railway Right
of Way South of Mission Road, which territory is more completely
described on Exhibit "A", which exhibit is attached hereto and by

reference incorporated herein, is located within the city limits
of 'the City of the Town of Colma, and
WHEREAS, the said portion of territory has for many years
been treated as if it were located within the city limits of the
·
City of South San Francisco,. and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interests of the City of the
Town of Colma to clarify its boundary and to exclude the said
territory from the City of the Town of Colma,
NOW,' THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of the Town of Colma does hereby declare that proceedings
are initiated to transfer the said territory, fully described on
said Exhibit "A" attached hereto, from the City of the Town of
Colma to the City of South San Francisco Under authority of Title 4,
Division 2, Part 2, Chapter 1, Article 4.5 of the Government Code
of the State of California..
RESOLVED FURTHER, that this Resolution be filed with the
Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that it is the Council's desire to
transfer said territory ss being in the best interests of the City
of the Town of Colma for 'the following reasons:
1. Said transfer creates a more natural southern
boundary line .between the City of the Town of Colma' and the City

of South San Francisco'.
2. Said transfer clarifies the boundery between the
City of the Town of Colma and the City of South San Francisco, and
will facilitate control and service of the leasehold improvements
on said territory which had been created under the auspices of the
City of South San Francisco.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the City Cl. erk shall give notice
of this resolution as required by .law.
