CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,~TATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION
FOR A GRANT UNDER SECTION 301(b) OF
THE OMNIBUS CRIME CONTROL AND SAFE
STREET ACT OF 1968 (P.L. 90-351), AS
AMENDED BY P.L. 91'644 - RESEARCH AND
DEVELOPMENT 'UNIT,''SOUTH 'SAN 'FRANCISCO.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco desires to undertake a certain project designated
"Research and Development Unit of South San Francisco", to

be funded in part from funds made available through the
Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968, PL 90-351,
as amended, PL 91 6444, (hereafter referred to as the Omnibus
Crime Control Act),
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager
of the City of South San Francisco is authorized on its behalf,
to submit the attached Application for Grant for Law Enforce-
ment Purposes to CCCJ and is authorized to execute on behalf of
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco the attached
Grant Award Contract for law enforcement purposes including any
extensions or amendments thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to
provide all matching funds required for said project {including
any extension or amendment thereof) under said Omnibus Crime
Control Act and the rules and regulations of CCJ and the Law
Enforcement Assistance Administration and that cash will be
appropriated as required thereby.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received
hereunder shall not be used to supplant on-going law enforce-
ment expenditures.
