CITY COUNCIL,' CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN ADVANCE
TO THE SAN MATEO COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL
DISTRICT (COLMA CREEK INTERIM WORK -
1973'74).
BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager be and he hereby
is authorized to do the following:
1. Advance 'of 'fUndS 'for 'i'nterim 'work 'items '"1" -
"4." .
The City Manager be and he hereby is authorized
to advance forthwith to the San Mateo County Flood Control District,
the sum of $355,000 for completing in 1973"interim work items "1"
through "4" (described in the letter dated June 7, 1973, from Wilsey
& Ham, Engineers, to the County of San Mateo Engineering and Road
Department), and provide for a refund in the event the cost of
construction is less than $355,000, or for an increase in said
advance not to exceed 10% thereof upon verification that the cost
of construction will exceed'S3.55,000 for said items.
2. Adva'nce 'for 'interim 'work'items "'5" and "6".
The City Manager be and he hereby is authorized to
advance the sum of $130,000 to the San Mateo County Flood Control
District for completing in 1973 interim work items "5" and "6"
contained in referenced Wilsey & Ham letter of June 7, 1973,
payable to the District when the District obtains the sum of
$500,000 for completing said interim work items in 1973 from
sources other than the City of South San Francisco, said sources
including but not necessarily being limited to District funds,
County of San Mateo, other governmental agencies and private
organiza, tions.
3. Neqotiation'for additional interim work - Oranqe
Avenue bridge.
The City Manager be and he hereby is authorized to

negotiate for completion of an additional interim work item in
1973designated as an enlaroement of Oeange Avenue br(dge,and he
is further authorized to advance to the San Mated County Flood
Control District the total cost of enlarging said Orange Avenue
bridge in 1973'if contributions from sources other than the City
of South San Francisco for interim work items "5" and "6" total
$630,000.
4. Neq~oti'ation'for'addiltiona'l'i'nterimwork- Utah bridge.
The City Manager be and he hereby is authorized to
negotiate for completion of an additional interim work item in
19.73 designated as an enlargement of Utah bridge, including a
schedule of advances for the construction costs thereof by the
City of South San Francisco, County of San Mated, San Mated County
Flood Control District, other governmental agencies and private
organizations and present same to the City Council upon completion
thereof.
.5. Credit for'interim wo'rk or porti~ons'of interim work
'usable in 'the 'final' project.
The City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to
negotiate with the San Mated County Flood Control District and
others to provide that the sums advanced by the City of South
San Francisco and other agencies for interim work or portions of
interim work which is usable in the final project be credited
to the extent legally permissible against the sum which the
responsible agencies are obligated to pay for the final project.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the
adjourned
City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this
