CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING APPRECIATION
TO ~REVE.REND 'GI'LBERT ~H.~ 'VI'EIRA
WHEREAS,THE REV. GILBERT H. VIEIRA has been appointed
to serve as Pastor of the Mill Va]ey United Methodist Church,
and the Council recalls on this occasion the many activities
through which he contributed to the welfare of this community,
some of which are described as follows- member of the Inter-
group Relations - South San Francisco Unified School District;
member of the Advisory Board for Mary's Help Hospital; member
of the Advisory Board for the North San Mateo County Mental
Health Center; member of People Acting Together; member of
the North San Mateo County Council of Churches; member of
the Ecumenical Affairs Group in South San Francisco; and
numerous other civic activities to which he contributed to
the welfare of this community; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to express apprecia-
tion to him for said services to this community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco that the Council does hereby
express appreciation to the Rev. Gilbert H. Vieira for his
contributions to this City's progress and welfare, which
in addition has established a high standard of ¢.ivic
conduct worthy of following by those who are willing to
contribute to this community.
