HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 6155-1973 RESOLUTION NO. 6155 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION DECLARING COUNCIL'S INTENTION TO REZONE A PARCEL OF LAND (1.28 ACRE PARCEL LOCATED AT THE NORTHEASTERLY CORNER OF WEST- BOROUGH AND CALLAN BOULEVARDS). BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that: WHEREAS, the Council on hearing duly noticed considered the Planning Commission's Resolution No. 2128 passed June 25, 1973, the appeal of applicant, Joseph Haggarty, therefrom, the oral and written presentations made with regard thereto, and WHEREAS, the Council holds the opinion that an analysis of the proposed land use of the 1.28 acre parcel referred to in the Planning Commission's Resolution No. 2128 and adjacent areas shows that a limited, planned, community-commercial or professional use for said 1.28 acre parcel is more compatible with the existing and proposed development of the area, and WHEREAS, the Council deems it to be in the public interest to initiate an amendment to the zoning ordinance so providing; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT: 1. The Council declares its intention to amend the zoning ordinance of the City of South San Francisco so as to classify the 1.28 acre parcel above designated as a limited, planned, community-commercial or professional use district, the same to be commenced upon receipt of a report from the Planning Commission regarding an amendment to the general plan as set forth in Council Resolution No. 6154 passed August 20, 1973, and the report and recommendation herein requested. 2. The Council requests that the Planning Commission compose a report regarding said proposed rezoning, including but not limited to a description of the parcel, a map of the parcel and proposed regulations for said parcel, describing the limited, planned, community-commercial or professional uses, hold a hearing thereon and submit a report and recommen- dation to the Council.
