CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EMERGENCY
WORK AND RENTAL OF EQUIPMENT FOR
DREDGING COLMA CREEK AND TRIBUTARIES
OTHER THAN AREAS RELATED TO LINDEN
AVENUE BRIDGE PROJECT.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that:
1. The Council finds and determines that there is an
urgent need to perform emergency work as recommended by the
Director of Public Services and dredge Colma Creek and certain
tributaries other than those related to the Linden Avenue bridge
project, and rental of equipment by the City and performance of
the work under the direction of the City Manager and the Director
of Public Services is the most expeditious method of completing
the work prior to the rainy season so as to safeguard public
health, life and safety, and
2. The City Manager be and he is hereby authorized to
obtain competitive quotes or bids for the emergency work and
the rental of the equipment needed, and upon receipt of same to
order said work done and rent said equipment from the lowest
responsible bidder, and
3. Upon obtaining the rental of said equipment, the
City Manager and the Director of Public Services be and they
are hereby authorized to commence and diligently pursue to
completion the dredging of Colma Creek and said tributaries
other than those related to Linden Avenue bridge project.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco at a specia~ meeting held on the 29th
day of August , 1973, by the following vote:
