CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN
ADDITION TO THE CLASSIFICA-
TION PLAN PRINTER I
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco that the classification plan of the City
of South San Francisco is hereby amended by adding thereto
the "Exhibit A" attached hereto entitled "PRINTER I".
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco at a

Under supervision, to perform a variety of skilled and semi-skil led tasks in
,he printing shop, maintain City's central stores., assist Building Maintenance, and
to do related work as required.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
~ Opera~es off-set printing equipment, mimeograph and other duplicating equipment
provided in the print shop. Operates folding machine, paper cutter, power stapler,
collating machine, photo platemaking equipment and other mechanical aids. Services, adjusts
and performs minor repairs on equipment. Performs all necessary work in the binding
of various documents'. Checks in, stacks and issues suppl les from central store-room,
performs inventories as necessary, maintains records of work done, and bi l is departments
for services performed. Assists in Building Maintenance and minor building improvements
and performs misceilaneous tasks as assigned. . .
DES IRABLE QUALIFICATIONS ~
Know I edge of: '
,
Methods, materials, and equipment used in off-set printing, platemaking,
and various other duplicating or copying processes;
Central suppl les and-storeroom pr.actices;
and
Ability to:
Operate and care for assigned equipment;
Use a variety of duplicating equipment and materials;
Perform general bu i I d ing ma i ntenance and repa i r work;
Operate a central supply and storage room;
Prepare and keep accurate records;
Understand and carry out oral and written direction;
Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted
in the course of work;
and
Experience: One year experience in which mechanical and'clerical abilities
have.been demonstrated. One year experience operating a variety of
duplicating machines including off-set printing.
and
Education: Equivalent to completion of'the twelfth grade.
SALARY RANGE: $754 - $892
