HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 6187-1973 RESOLUTION NO. 61R7 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT PURSUANT'TO PLAN- NING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO 2132 (1.28 ACRE PARCEL, NORTH- EASTERLY CORNER OF WESTBOROUGH AND CALLAN BOULEVARDS) WHEREAS, the proposed amendment to the City's General Plan is set forth in the document attached hereto as Exhibit "A", and W~EREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of South San Francisco approved and recommended same to the Council as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and WHEREAS, the Council, pursuant to the 'Government Code of the State of California, duly set a hearing thereon for the 15th day of October, 1973, notice of which was published in the "Enterprise-Journal," a newspaper of general circulation printed and circulated in the City of South San Francisco, and which date of publication was more than ten (10) days prior to the date set for said hearing, and the affidavit of said publication is on file in the office of the City Clerk, and WHEREAS, the Council did hold said hearing on said date and did thereupon consider said amendment and the statements and communications made at said hearing; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT: 1. The Council hereby adopts as an amendment to the City's General Plan the reclassification and amendment to the plan diagram of the General Plan as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, same being Planning Commission Resolution No. 2132 passed September 25, 19~73. 2. The said amendment be endorsed as adopted by this Resolution and that the Mayor and City Clerk shall execute said Endorsement. WILEREAS, the South Stax Francisco Planning Co~nmission,.mecting in regular session on Tuesday, September 25, 1973, conducted a public hearing on the General Plan /~nendment for the reclassification of a 1.28-acre parcel of land at the northwesterly corner of Wcstborough and Callan Boulevards from "Medium-tligh Density Residential" to "Neighborhood Commercial" in the General Plan of the City of Soutk San Francisco, and tl~at the "Plan Diagram" of the Gcneral Plan be amended to reflect thc proposed reclassification. WIqEILEAS, notice of said public hearing was published in the Enterprise- Journal at least 10 days prior thereto; m~d, "' WltEREAS, notice of the said public hearing was posted at three places on the location involved for the proposed amendment. WIiEREAS, thc Planning Commission considered thc written staff report . of the Planning Officc~ and the oral' presentation of Mr. Joseph P. llaggarty; and, WI-~I~AS~ thc Plm]ning Co]mnission madc thc following findings' 1. The petitioner, Mr. Joseph P. Ilaggarty, filed an al)plicatio~ to rezone the above stated prol)erty from "I'-C l.)upl, cx Fmnily" to "PC- Commercial". It als() stated that il." a General l']an Amendment is necessary this application be made an integral I)art of tills application. 2. The subject parcel, was rczoncd from "PC-Commercial" to "PC-Duplex ?zunily" under RZ-18, on Juno 77 1971. 3.
