CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION DECLARING COUNCIL'S
INTENTION TO TERMINATE SOCIAL
SECURITY AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
AND THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco and the
State of California entered into an agreement on December 10,
1959, providing for the inclusion of the services of eligible
employees of the City in the California State Social Security
Agreement, pursuant to the provisions of Section 218 of the
Social Security Act; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to undertake a
termination of said agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of South San Francisco that said Council does
hereby declare its intention to terminate the agreement between
the City of South San Francisco and the State of California
providing for the inclusion of the services of the ieligible
employees of the City in the State of California Social Security
Agreement, and does request that the' Board of Administration of
the Public Employees Retirement System initiate such action as
is required pursuant to said request.
