CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION ADOPTING A POLICY CONCERNING THE
DISTRIBUTION OF TICKETS AND /OR PASSES PURSUANT TO
FAIR POLITICAL PRACTICES COMMISSION REGULATION
18944.1
WHEREAS, from time to time, the City of South San Francisco ( "City ") may receive
complimentary or discounted tickets or passes from outside sources, may receive tickets or passes
pursuant to the City's co- sponsorship of an event, or may purchase tickets or passes for both public
and private events for distribution to public officials; and
WHEREAS, Fair Political Practices Commission ( "FPPC ") Regulation Section 18944.1 (2
CCR § 18944.1) sets forth the circumstances under which the City's distribution of certain tickets
and passes to a public official would need to be disclosed by the City and not trigger a disclosure
requirement for the purposes of the public official's Statement of Economic Interest Form 700; and
WHEREAS, based on such practice and the FPPC regulations, the City Council desires to
adopt a policy regarding the distribution of tickets and /or passes pursuant to FPPC Regulation
18944.1.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco hereby approves and adopts the Policy Regarding the Distribution of Complementary
Tickets, attached hereto as Attachment A.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
hereby directs the City Clerk to post the Ticket Policy in a prominent fashion on the City's website,
consistent with the requirements of California Code of Regulations Section 18944.1.

City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 25 day of April,
2012 by the following vote:

Vice Mayor Pedro Gonzalez and Mayor Richard A. Garbarino
