HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 6217-1973 RESOLUTION NO. 6217 A RESOLUTION DETERMINING 'THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE ACQUISITION OF CERTAIN LAND AND DIRECTING THE FILING OF EMINENT DOMAIN PROCEEDINGS LINDEN AVENUE BRIDGE-NORTH CANAL STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, California, that, WHEREAS, it is the intention of this City Council to construct and maintain a public bridge and street improvements in and on the land hereinafter described, NOW, TF_RREFORE, IT IS FOUND, DETERMINED and ORDERED as follows: 1. The public interest and necessity require the acquisition, construction, completion and~ maintenance of a public bridge and street improvements and work auxiliary thereto in, over, across and upon the parcel of land more particularly described in Exhibit "A", attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, within said City of South San Francisco, and the taking of the fee simple title in and to said property for public bridge and street improvement purposes is necessary for said improvements. 2. Said proposed acquisition and improvements are planned and located in the manner which will be most compatible with the greatest public good and the least private injury, and all of said acquisition is situated within the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California. 3. John Noonan, City Attorney of said City and the law firm of Wilson, Jones, Morton & Lynch, who are attorneys for said City, be and they are hereby directed to institute and conduct to conclusion an action in eminent domain for the acquisition of the property aforesaid and to take such action as is necessary therein, and said .law firm of Wilson, ~Jones, Morton & Lynch shall be paid a reasonable fee therefor. 4. An Order for Immediate Possession and Use be obtained in said action, and that a warrant be issued to the County Clerk, San Mateo County, California, in the amount determined by the Court to be so deposited, as a condition to the right of immediate possession. Hlrri, Warren S,elnkamp C OUNC ILMEN None COUNCILMEN None ' ATTEST: '~~ ~Clerk EXHIBIT "A" All that certain real property situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California,.and more particularly described as follows: BEING a portion of that certain parcel of land conveyed to Sun Chemical Corporation, a corporation, by Corporation Grant Deed recorded February 13, 1952, in Volume 2199, page ltl, Official Records of San Mateo County, California, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the southeasterly corner of said parcel of land conveyed to Sun Chemical Corporation; thence North 74° 27' 18" West along the southwesterly boundary of said lands conveyed to Sun Chemical Corpora- tion, 133.83 feet to a point of cusp; thence from a tangent that bears South 74° 27' 18" East along the arc of a curve to the left, having a radius of 61.00 feet and a central angle of l0° 58' 20", an arc distance of 11.68 feet; thence tangent to the preceding curve South 85° 25' 38" East 104.70 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve; thence along the arc of said tangent curve to the left, having a radius of 24.00 feet and a central angle of 79° 01' 40", an arc distance of 33,10 feet to a point of cusp, said point of cusp being a point on the southeasterly bOundary of said lands conveyed to Sun Chemical Corporations thence tangent to the preceding curve South 15° 32' ~2" West along said southeasterly boundary44.60 feet to the True Point of Beginning and containing 0.038 acres, more or less. SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT, WINDOW REPLACEMENT AT CITY HALL RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francis co that: WHEREAS, pursuant to previous authorization and pub- lished notice, bids were publicly opened, examined and declared on the 12th day of December , 19 73 for: Window Replacement at City Hall NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED as follows: 1. That said Council does hereby reject all of said proposals or bids except that hereinaf, ter mentioned, and hereby' awards the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, Cobbledick-Kibbe Glass Co. for the bid price of Nine thousand Eight Hundred Thirty-nine=-- Dollars ($9,839.00) 2. That the City Manager of said City is hereby author- ized to make and enter into a written contract with said suc- cessful' bidder, and the City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to attest his signature and affix thereto the cor- porate seal of the City.
