CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS AND
DECLARING RESULTS OF THE GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ON MARCH 5, 1974.
WHEREAS, a general municipal election was held in and
throughout the City of South San Francisco on the 5th day of
March, 1974, for the election of two members of the City Council,
and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has duly presented to the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco all the returns of
the votes cast at said municipal election, and
WHEREAS, said City Council has inspected and examined
all said returns;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
said City that said Council finds as follows:
That Six Thousand Eight Hundred Forty-eight votes were
cast in the City of South San Francisco for the office of City
Councilman;
That the names of persons voted for as submitted at
said general municipal election are as follows:
(a) As regularly-nominated candidates:
Patrick E. Ahern
William A. Borba
Richard A. Battaglia
Leo Padreddii
(b) As write-in candidates:
None.

RESULTS,OF SAID GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
That the record of the votes cast at said general
municipal election in favor of said candidates as shown by the
official count at each of the several precincts established

throughout said City by said City Council for the purpose of
conducting said election is as shown on Exhibit "A" attached
hereto, the same being a tabulation of the votes by precincts.
That the votes cast at said general municipal election
in favor of said candidates for the office of City Councilman
by absentee ballot as shown by the official count, and included
in the totals set forth in Exhibit "A", are as follows:

That the totals of the various votes cast at said general
municipal election in favor of the several candidates for Council-
man are as follows:

That the City Council of said City hereby declares as
That Richard a. Battaglia and Leo Padreddii were duly
elected at said general municipal election as members of the
City Council of said City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of said City
shall, and he is hereby ordered to, issue Certificates of Elec-
tion to Richard A. Battaglia and Leo Padreddii as members of the
City Council of said City.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 12th day of March ,
