CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS
AND CALLING BIDS FOR BASEBALL BACKSTOPS
AT SOUTHWOOD AND PARKWAY RECREATION
CENTERS
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Sou'th San
Francisco that
WHEREAS, specifications providing for purc]~ase of certain
supplies and equipment have been submit'ted, wl~ich specifications
are entitled:
BASEBALL BACKSTOPS AT SOUTHWO0D AND PARKWAY'
RECREATION CENTERS
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires -to api~rove said
specifications and call for sealed proposals;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS tIEREBY ORDERED T~IAT:
1. The specifications hereinbefore named and identified
are hereby approved and said specifica'tions are referred to
and by this reference made a part hereof 'the same as if
recited herein verbatim.
2. The City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to
publish by two .(2) consecutive insertions in the "Enterprise-
Journal, a newspaper published and circulated in said City,
a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids [or said supplies
and equipment in accordance with the specifications ]~erein-
before named a]~d identified and on .file in tt~e Office. of the
City Clerk, the first of which publications sh~ll be at least
ten (10) days prior to the 'time fixed for opening bids. A
copy of said notice entitled "Notice to Bidders" is attached
hereto and referred to and by this reference made a part
hereof as if se-t forth verbatim herein.
Ail proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's
or certified check, payable to the order of the City. of South
San Francisco, in an amount equal to not less than ten per-
cent (10%) of the bid figure, or by a bond in said amount

drawn in favor of said City and executed by a corporate
surety. Said check shall be forfeited by bidder, or said
bond shall become payable to said City in case 'the lowest
responsible bidder (or bidders) depositing the same
does not, Within the time set forth in sazd' specifica-
tions, enter into a contract' with said City, the faithful
performance of which shall be guaranteed by an under-
taking in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of
the sum bid, said undertaking being that of a corporate
surety satisfactory to said City Council. In case of a
forfeiture, as provided for in the preceding sentence, the
defaulting bidder shall be liable to said City for any
additional expense to.which it may re'asonably be put in
connection with purchasing the supplies and equipment
with which this Notice to Bidders ms concerned.
3. Bids will be received by the City of South San
Francisco, California, at the Office of the City ClerK,
of said City, City Hall, ~400 Grand Avenue, South San
Francisco, California.
at or before~ the hour of
9:O0 A.M.
on Monday , the 1st day of April
19
said time not being less than ten (10) days from the first
publication of notice. The bids will be publicly opened,.
examined and declared at said time and place and award will
thereafter be made by the City Council of said City to the
lowest responsible bidder or bidders, subject, however, to
the right of said City Council to reject any and all bids,
which right is hereby reserved.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 18th day of March , 19 74 ,
by the following vote:
