CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO REQUESTING THE BOARD
OF SUPERVISORS OF SAN MATEO COUNTY TO ACT IN
THEIR BEHALF TO REQUEST AN EXTENSION OF TIME
FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE SEISMIC SAFETY
ELEMENT, SAFETY ELEMENT, AND SCENIC HIGHWAYS
ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN
WHEREAS, a city/county co-operative planning task force
has been established, composed of City Managers, City Planners
and City Engineers of the various cities in San Mateo County
and of San Mateo County; and
WHEREAS, said cooperative planning task force has
prepared work programs and is in the process of preparing the
Seismic Safety, Safety and Scenic Highways Elements for the county
and all the cities therein; and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco is coopera-
ting in the joint effort to prepare said elements; and
WHEREAS, the regional approach to the preparation of
said General Plan elements is deemed to produce a more meaning-
ful and usable planning document; and
WHEREAS, the City of SOuth San Francisco had budgeted
funds and staff time to be used in this cooperative effort;
and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco recognizes the
need for additonal time in the preparation of said elements
in order to allow the product to be meaningful and complete;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
of the City of South San Francisco requests the Board of
Supervisors of San Mateo County to act on its behalf and request
an extension of time past the September 20, 1974,deadline for
the preparation of these elements.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 15th day of April ,
19 74 , by the following vote:

Leo Padreddii, and Warren Steinkamp
