A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE SAN
FRANCISCO BAY CONSERVATION AND
DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION TO AMEND
THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY PLAN,

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco that:
1. The Council hereby requests the San Francisco Bay
Conservation and Development Commission to amend, the San
Francisco Bay Plan, Map No. 9, as follows:
A. DelVe that portion of the Oyster Point
"waterfront park, beach" designated area (approximately
5 acres) that is as indicated on the attached plan, and
lies westerly of the common north-south line separating
sections 15 and 14, and also sections 22 and 23.
B. Rephrase the policy statement on Oyster
Point to read "Expand marina and develop shoreline park
to and inclusive of the westerly boundary of sections 14 and
23."
2. The reasom for the request to delete the
approximately 5 acre portion are as follows:
a) The City does not intend to acquire for water-
front park, beach or other recreational purposes any of the
areas requested to be deleted from the park priority designa-
tion either within the next three years or in the £orseeable
future. The City is unaware of any other public agency that
intends to acquire for park purposes any of the area
requested to be deleted from the park priority designation.
b) A study entitled "Williams-Kuebelbeck &
Associate" dated February, 1974, prepared for the City to
guide development at Oyster Point indicates that the area
requested to be deleted should not be used for recreational
purposes.
I hereby certify that the foreoing Resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco at a special
on the 21st day of June
following vote:
