A RESOLUTION APPROVING PLANS
AND SPECIFICATIONS, AlfrHORIZING
THE WORK AND CALLING BIDS FOR
NORTH CANAL STREET - LINDEN TO
SPRUCE - IMPROVEMENTS
RESOLVED by the. Cit Council of the City of South San
Francisco, California, t~at
WHEREAS, plans and specifications providing for cer-
tain~ improvement work have been submitted, which plans and
specifications are entitled:
NORTH CANAL STREET - LINDEN TO SPRUCE - IMPROVEMENTS
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to approve said plans
and specifications, authorize the work and call for sealed
proposals;
NOW, THEREFORE,, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that:

identified are hereby approved and the work therein provided
is hereby authorized and said plans and specifications are
referred to and by trois reference made-a part hereof the
same as if recited herein verbatim°
.2. The City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to
publish by two '(2~) consecutive insertions in the "Enter-
prise-Journal, a newspaper published and circulated in said
City, a notice i.viting sealed proposals or' bids for said
work in accorda.ce with~the plans and specificatio.s herein-
before named and identified and on~ file in the Office of the
City Clerk, the first of which publication shall be at least
ten (10) days prior to the time fixed for ope.ing bids. A
copy of said notice e.titled "'Notice to Bidders" is attaChed
hereto and referred to and by this reference made a part
hereof' as if set forth verbatim herein.
All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's
.or certified check, payable to the order of the City of South
San Francisco, in an amount equal to not less tban ten per
cent (10%) of the ,bid figure, or by a bo.d in said amount
draw, in ravel: of said City and cxccutczd by a corporatc~

faithful performance of which shall, be guara,tced by an
undertaking in thc amount of one hundred per cent (.[00%)
of the sum bid, said unclertaking being that of a corporate
surety satisfactory to said City Council, and which con-
tract shall, be accompanied by a labor and materials bond
of a corporate surety, a.Lso i, a sum equal to one l~unclrc~d
per cent (100?o) of the amout~t of said bi~l, as. rc~luired by
the provisio,~s of Title I, Division 5, .Cl~apter 3, of the
Government Code of tile State of California~ In case of a
forfeiture, a~.a provicted for in the prececli.g sentence, the
de faul t iia~ bidder shall be liable to said City for any
additional expc,,se, t'o wl~icl] it may reaso.ably be put
connection with obtaining full and complete performa~ce of
the particular work of improvement with wt~ich this Notice
to Bidders is concerned.
