AND SPECIFICATIONS, Atr£tlO'RIZING
THE WORK AND CALLING BIDS FOR
ADDITION TO CITY tLALL - CITY
· COUNCIL CHAMBERS MODIFICATION
RESOLVED' by the. Cit Council of the City of ,South~San
Francisco, Californza, t~at ~
WHEREAS, plans and specifications providing for cer-
tain improvement work have been submitted, which plans and
specifications are entitled'
ADDITION TO CITY HALL - CiTY COUNCIL CHAMBERS ,MODIFICATION
and,
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to approve said plans
and specifications, authorize the work and call for sealed
proposals;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that:
1o The plans and specifications hereinbefore named and
identified are hereby approved' and the.work therein provided
is hereby authorized, and said plans and' specifications are
referred to and by this reference made apart hereof the
same as if recited herein verbatim°
2 The City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to
publis~ by two (2) consecutive insertio.s i. th.e "Enter-
prise-Journal," a .ewspaper published a.d circulated in said
City, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for said
work in accorda.ce with the pla.s and specifications berein-
before,,named and i. dentified and on file in the Office of the
City Clerk, the first of which publication shall be at least
ten (10) days prior to the time fixed for opening bids. A
copy of said notice e.titled "Notice to Bidders" is attached
hereto and referred to and by this reference made a part
hereof as if set forth verbatim herein.
All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's
or certified check, payable to the order of tbe City of South
San Francisco, in an amount equal, to-not less th~n ten per
cent (10%) of the bid figure, or by a bo.d i. said amou.t
drawn in favor of sa. icl City and executed by a corporate

tract shall be accompanied by a labor and materials bond
of a corporate surety, also in a sum equal to one hundred
per cent (100fo) of thc amount of said bi~l, as. required by
the provisions of Title I, l)ivisio, 5, Cl~aptcr 3, of thc
Gover~mcnt Code of tl~e State of California. In case of a
forfeiture, as provided for in the preceding sentence, the
defaultin~ bidder shall be liable to said City for any
additional expeuse to which it may reasonably be put in
connection with obtaining full and complete performance of
the particular work of improvement with. wt~ich this Notice
to Bidders is co~cerned.
3. Bids will be receiw...d by th~2 City of South San

which right is hereby reserved.
