PROJECT: WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT IMPROVEMENTS - PROJECT UNIT NO. 1
CONTRACTOR: HOMER O. OLSEN, INC.
CHANGE ORDER NO. 15
DATE: September 6~ 1974
Description o£ ' Change
Reduce the amount of the contract retention frown ten percent (10%)
to .five percent (5%) o£ the value o£ the work done.
Reason for Change
Section 8 of the contract specifiCations provides that the City
shall retain ten percent. (10%) of the estimated value of the work
done as part security for fulfillment of the contract by the Con-
tractor. This money is not to be released as a final payment until
the expiration of thirsty five (~5) days from the date o£ acceptance
of the work by the City Council.
With the exception of miscellaneous items of work delayed by equip-
~ment suppliers~ the City's vacation schedule, and late contract
change orders, the contract is substantially complete. The estimated
value o£ the work remaining is less than $5,000. The present amount
of the contract retention is in the order of $200,000. This change
would reduce that amount to about $100~000.
