HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 203-1974 RESOLUTION NO. 205-74 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING A NO-PARKING ZONE ON EL CAMINO REAL AT KAISER HOSPITAL AND AMENDING RESOLUTION 3812, ADOPTED NOVEMBER 4, 1963, AS AMENDED. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the Council, having considered the staff report dated October 7, 1974, finds and determines that parking adjacent to the entrance sign to Kaiser Hospital on E1 Camino Real and particularly near the emergency entrance obstructs the emergency entrance sign and entrance and, in addition, creates a traffic hazard because of the curvature of the street in that area and the limitation of clear sight distance, and the Council does, therefore, in accordance with California Vehicle Code Section 22506 and South San Francisco Ordinance 491, Article XI, Section ll.3(d), order that the following-described area be estab- lished as a no-parking area in the City of South San Francisco and that Section III of Resolution 3812, passed November 4, 1963, as amended, entitled, "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco Establishing Certain Traffic Regula- tions in Accordance with and for Ordinance 491," be amended by adding thereto Section N, which shall read as follows: N.. EL CAMINO REAL ADJACENT TO KAISER HOSPITAL: The northerly side of E1 Camino Real adjacent.to Kaiser Hospital, as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, which le exhibit is by this reference incorporated herein as if set forth verbatim. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be submitted to the Department of Public Works of the State of California for approval in writing and said resolution shall not take effect Until and after said approval by the Department of Public Works of the State of California, which.shall be endorsed on the face of this resolution or attached hereto. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a r~g,,~r meeting held on the 7th day of October , 19 74 , by the fol- lowing vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN Richard Battaglia, F. Mirri, Leo Padreddii and Warren Steinkamp NOES, " None ABSENT, " None ATTEST: ~~it~~-~~ · J f APPROVAL OF TRAFFIC REGULATIONS A Resolution of the City of South San Francisco, numbered 203-74, passed and adopted by the City Council of said City on October 7, 1974, provides for the prohibition of p~rking on the east side of E1Camino Real, commencing at a point 965 feet north of the northerly curbllne of Arroyo Drive and extending for a distance of 760 feet northerly thereof. This resolution has been submitted to the Department of Transporta- tion for approval in accordance with Section 22506. of the Vehicle Code. E1 Camtno Real is State Highway Route 82 as defined by l&w. Resolution No. 20B-74, insofar as it relates to State Highway Route 82 is approved as submitted. This resolution shall cease to be operative six months after receipt by the City Council of written notice of withdrawal of approval of the Department of Transportation.
