CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING GENERAL PLAN
AMENDMENT PURSUANT TO PLANNING COM-
MISSION RESOLUTIONS NO'S 215.6 AND 2157,
AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, the proposed amendment 1-74 to the City's General
Plan is set forth in the documents entitled'
(a) "Resolution of the South San Francisco Planning
Commission Considering an Amendment of the General
Plan by Deleting the Extension of Miller Avenue
Between Chestnut Avenue and.Willow Avenue" - Resolu-
tion No. 2156'; attached hereto as Exhibit A.
(b) "Res'olution of the City of South San Francisco
Planning Commission Considering an Amendment of the
General Plan to Establish New. Boundari'es for the
Proposed Waterfront Park and Open Space Areas at
Oyster Point" - Resolution No. 2157; attached hereto
as Exhibit B, as amended by the description and plat
attached hereto as Exhibit B-1 and B-2 entitled
respectively "Description of Open Space Zone" and
"Exhibit to Description of Open Space Zone", which
were approved by the Planning Commission on November
26, 1974; and
WHEREAS, on September 10,'1974, by Resolution No. 2156,
and on. September 24, 1974, by Resolution No. 2157, the Planning
Commission of the City of South San Francisco approved and
·
recommended said amendment to the City Council, as set forth
in Exhibits A and B attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Council, pursuant to the Government Code
of the State of California, duly set a hearing thereon for
the 6th day of November, 1974, notice of which was published
in the Enterprise-Journal, a newspaper of general circulation
printed and circulated in the City of South San Francisco, and
which date of publication was more than ten (10) days prior
to the date set for said hearing, and the affidavit of said
publication is on file in the office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, the Council did hold said hearing on said date
and did thereupon consider said amendment and the statements
and communications made at said hearing, and did further
receive and approve an amended description of the open space
zone; and
WHEREAS, t-he Council then referred the amended descripti~on
of the open space zone to the Planning Commission of the City
of South San Francisco, and said Planning Commission on
November 26,1974, did approve said amended description; and
WHEREAS, the City Council on December 4,1974, then received
said Planning Commission's approval of the amended description
of the open space zone;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED THAT:
1. The Council hereby adopts .as Amendment 1-74 to the
·
City's General Plan the amendments recommended by the Planning
Commission in Resolution No. 2156, as set forth in Exhibit
A attached hereto, and in Resolution No. 2157, as set forth
in Exhibit B attached hereto, as amended by the descriptions
and plat attached hereto as Exhibits B-1 and B-2 respectively
entitled "Description of Open Space Zone" and"Exhibit to
Description of Open Space Zone, which were approved by the
Planning Commisson November 26,1974.
The said amendments be endorsed as adopted by this Resolu-
tion and the Mayor and City Clerk shall execute said endorse-
ment.

6. This strip would extend along the waterfront from the U.S. Steel property
on the western edge of Oyster Point, continuing easterly around OySter.
Point and the city's marina then southerly to the point of land
· protruding into the bay, located approximatley 2S00 feet south of the
city's marina property.
7. An additional strip of 100 feet of land on tlie eastern side of the
Heely-Tibbitts property to allow for the possible expansion of the.
city's marina in that direction.
NOIr, THEREFORe, BE IT RESOLVED that the Planning Commission of the city of
South San Francisco recommend to the City Council that the new boundaries be
established for the lVaterfront Park and open space area at Oyster Point, and.
that the "General Plan Diagram" of the General Plan be amended.

Beginning at a point on the northerly line of the Burl Burl Rancho, 'where same
is intersected by the dividing line bet,,~een sections 22 and 25, Township 5
south,. Range 5 west, Mount Diablo base and meridian, ~,zhich point is distant
south 199.98 feet from the corner common 'to sections 14, 15, 22, 25 of said
township and range; thence along the line dividing the Tide Lands and the Buri
Burl Rancho north 81°4S'00':.west 36.96 feet; thence north 68°15'00'' ~'est 82
feet more or less to the point where intersected by a line 100 feet inland from

Marina; thence along said dividing line west 270.58 feet to the point where-
