.- AND 940 GRAND AVENUE AND 323 AND
401/403 CHESTNUT AVENUE ON PUBLIC SAFETY SITE

RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco, Califor.ia, that · -.
WHEREAS, plans and specificatio-s providing for cer-
tain improvement work have been submitted, which plans and
specifications are entitled: '
REMOVAL OR DEMOLIION AND DISPOSAL OF EXISIING SIRUCIURES AI 910.
936-and 940 GRAND AVENUE AND 323 AND 401/403~ CHESTNUT AVENUE
ON PUBLIC SAFETY SITE;
and,
WI{EREAS, the City Council desires to approve said plans'
and specifications, authorize the work and call for sealed
proposals;
NOW, TIIEREFORE, IT IS .IU~REBY ORDERED that:
l. The p la.s and specifications hereinbefore .amed and
ide,,tif'led are i~ereby approved and the 'work, therein provided
is hereby authorized~ and said plans and specifications are
referred 'to a.d by this reference made a part hereof the
same as if recited herein verbatim°
2 The City Cleric of said City is hereby directed to
Publis~ by two ,(2) consecutive insertions i. the "Enter-
prise-Journal, a newspaper published and circulate(! in said
City, a notice invit.i.ng sealed proposals or bi~ls for said
work i. accorda,~cc wit[~ thc plans and spccificatio.s herei.-
before named and identified a.d on file in ti~e Office of the
City Cleric, the first of which publication sl~all be at least
ten (10) days prior to the time fixed for oi~e.ing bids. A
copy. of said .otice e.titled~"Notice to Bidders" is attached
hereto and referred to a.d by this reference made a part
hereof as if set forth verbatim herein.
~All proposals or bids slmll be accompanied l~y a cashier's
or certified check, payable to the order of the City of South
San Francisco~ ~n the amount of one Thousand and no/lO0

drawn in. favor of said Cit7 and executetl by a corporate

responsible bidder (or bidders) depositing thc same

faithful performa,ce of which shall be guaranteed by an
undertaking in the amount of one hundred per cent (.[00%)
of the sum bid, said undertaking being that of a corporate
surety satisfactory to said City Council, and which con-
tract shall be accompanied by a labor and .materials bond
of a corporate surety, also in a sum equal to one hundred
per cent (iO0'?o) of thc amount of said bid, as. required by
the provisio,s of Title I,.Division 5, Cllapter 3, of the
Government Code of the State of California. In case of a
forfeiture, as provided for in the preceding sentence, the
defaulting bidder shall be liable to said City for any
additionai expense, to which it may reasonably be put in
connection with obtaining full and complete performance of
the.particular work of improvement with wt~icb this Notice
to Bidders is Concerned.

which right is hereby reserved.
