CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE CITY
BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1973-74
BY RECLASSIFYING TWO POLICE
CADET POSITIONS.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that:
1. The Police Department section of the City budget for
fiscal year 1973-74 be and the same is hereby amended to reclas-
sify two vacant Police Cadet positions to two Stenographer-Clerk
positions in said department so that said department may program
and complete a backlog of record-keeping assignments.
2. A report be made to the Council every six months speci-
fying the progress being made in completing the record-keeping
backlog assignments, together with an estimate as to the date of
completion of said assignments and a projection as to when the
Stenographer-Clerk positions may be deleted so that budget funds
will be available to place officers on the street rather than to
maintain clerical assistance in the office as the Council does
not desire to add employees on the basis of catching up and then
find permanent employees on the payroll who are not needed.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regu-
larly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on
the 18th day of December ~ 19 74 , by the fol-
lowing vote:
