HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 30-1975 RESOLUTION NO. 30-75 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE POLICY FOR ANNUAL ROTATION OF MAYOR AND MAYOR PRO TEM BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that. the following sets forth the provisions for the terms of Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem in the City of South San Francisco· I. DEFINITION. A TERM OF OFFICE AS MAYOR; MAYOR PRO TEM. A Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem term of office, for purposes of this Resolution shall be either of the following' A. Even-numbered years. In even-numbered years the respective terms of office shall commence on the Tuesday following the general Municipal Election, when the Council. meets and choses one of its members as Mayor and one of its members as Mayor Pro Tem, in accordance with Government Code Section 36801, and shall continue through to the time on the date of the second regular Council meeting in March of the succeeding year when the Council shall meet and choose one of its members as Mayor and one of its members' as Mayor Pro Tem. B. Odd-numbered years. In od.d-numbered years the respective terms of office shall commence on the date of the second regular Council meeting in March when the Council meets and choses one of its members as MaYor and one of its members as Mayor Pro Tem, and shall continue through to the time on the Tuesday succeeding the general Municipal Election of the next year when the Council meets and chooses one of its members as Mayor and one of its members aS Mayor Pro Tem, in accordance with Government Code Section 36801. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 19th day of February , 19 75 , by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN Richard A.
