CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF ADDENDUM
AGREEMENT NO. 3 WITH THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
SCAVENGER COMPANY FOR CITY 'REFUSE, LAWN CLIPPINGS
AND SIMILAR MATERIALS
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Fran-
cisco, that:
1. The Council authorizes execution of Addendum Agreement No
3, City's refuse, lawn clippings and similar material ,dated the l?th
day of December , 1975, by and between the City of South San Francisco,
a municipal corporation, and the South San Francisco Scavenger Company,
a co-partnership.
2. The Council authorizes the City Manager to execute said
Agreement on behalf of the City and the City Clerk to attest his signature
thereto.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Fran-
cisco at a regular meeting held on the 17th day of December
by the following vote'

ADDENDUM AGREEMENT'NO. 3
CITY'S REFUSE, LAWN CLIPPINGS AND'SIMILAR
MATERIAL
THIS ADDENDUM AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 7?th day
of December , 1975, between the City of South San F~ancisco, a
municipal corporation of the State of California, hereby designated "City",
and the South San Francisco Scavenger Company, a co-partnership, hereinafter
designated "Scavenger Company";
W I T N E S S E T H:
WHEREAS, the parties entered into an Agreement on the 3rd day of
October, 1955, providing for the collection and pick-up of law trimmings,

shrubberY and similar material; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement was amended on March 3, 1969, as aUthorized
by Resolution No. 5061 (Addendum No. 1); and
WHEREAS, said Agreement was further amended on October 2, 1972,
as authorized by Resolution No. 5949; and
WHEREAS, the parties now desire to further amend said Agreement
to provide for a new term and new rates for the pi.ck-up and transportation
of sludge and grits consisting of insoluable materials such as mud, sand,
plastics, metal and other material which cannot be treated at the joint
sewage disposal plant;
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the aforegoing'premises and
the mutual covenants herein contained, the parties agree as follows:

1. Amendment of Paragraph 1.of the Agreement dated October 3,
1955, as Amended. Paragraph I to the Agreement made and entered into the 3rd
day of October, 1955, as amended, is hereby amended to read as follows'
1. Term' The term of this Agreement shall be .
for a period of one year , com-
mencing on the date of execution of this amended
Agreement.
2. Amendment of Paragraph 5 of Addendum Agreement No. 1. Paragraph
5, as added by Addendum No. I to the Agreement made and entered into the 3rd

day of October, 1955, is hereby amended to read as follows'
5. City Refuse Service. Second Party shall render
to "City" the same refuse services as set forth in
the agreement entitled "Agreement, Garbage
Collection and Disposal" dated the 20th day of
January, 1964, executed by "City" and "Scavenger
Company", and addenda thereto, and the rate for
said service shall be as follows'
A. $18.54 for the hauling (round-trip) of a 30 or
40 yard debris box from the Corporation Yard in
South San Francisco to the dump site at Menlo
Park, California.
B. $71.34 for hauling (round-trip) the debris con-
tainers owned by the City of South San Francisco
and located at the South San Francisco-San Bruno

joint sewage disposal site, to the dump
site at Menlo Park, California, and the
\
dumping of the sludge and grits consisting
of insoluable material such as mud, sand,
plastics, metals and other materials which
cannot be treated at said sewer plant.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed the Addendum
Agreement on the day and year first above written.
