HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 212-1976 RESOLUTION NO. 212-76 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO~'STATE.OF.CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION COMMENDING RONALD RICHARD RIC0 IN RECOGNITION OF HIS DESIGN FOR THE AMERICAN .REV0LUTION BICENTENNIAL COMMITTEE · WHEREAS, Ronald Richard Rico, a senior at. Baden High School. in South San Fr'aneiseo, California, has been designated ~ as one of the four winners in a contest to create a design to symbolize the American Revolution Bicentennial celebration; ; and WHEREAS, Ronald Richard Rico competed with more than two thousand applicants in the contest sponsored by the San Mateo County Arts Council and the County of San Mateo American Revo- lution Bicentennial Committee; and' WHEREAS, the Council desires to~ recognize his achievement and'commend him therefor; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the Council does hereby commend Ronald Richard Rico for his. achievement in designing a symbol for the American Revolution Bicentennial Committee, which design Was designated as one of the four winning designs, and the Council does further express to him appreciation for-a constructive contribution to the ~merican Revolution Bicenten- nial celebration. Approved by the Mayor January 7 , 1976 I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 7th day of Januarg 19 76 , by the following vote: AYES, COUNCILMEN Richard A.
