HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 30-1976 RESOLUTION NO~ ' 3'0-76 -- CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE GENERAL PRE- VAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES IN SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO' RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, Cali forni a, that' 1. This Resolution establishes the prevailing rate of per diem wages in accordance with Labor Code section-1770, et seq., and applies to all further work~ performed under contract from and after the date of adoption, except~that it is not applicable to work carried out by the City of South San Francisco with its own forces. 2. The prevailing rate of per diem wages hereto attached, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof, was determined in accordance with Labor Code section 1773 and related sections and shall be the prevailing wage for each craft, classification or type of workman employed on public works in the City of South San Francisco, from and after adoption of this Resolution, and the same is hereby adopted and approved as the general prevailing rate of per diem~wages to be paid such crafts, classifications 'or type of workman. ~ 3. Three' (3) copies of the prevailing-wage scale hereby adopted shall be kept on file in the office of the City Clerk and made avail- able to all interested persons. '4. Each call for bids, bid specification and contract shall include a reference to the prevailing rate of per diem wages hereby adopted. 5. City shall cause a copy of the prevailing rate of per diem wages 1. as herein adopted to be posted at eaCh public site in accordance with Labor Code section 1773.2. 6. This Resolution shall be published once in the Enterprise- Journal a newspaper of general circulation in the City of South San Fran- cisco. 7. After.the completion of the publication as herein directed, the City Clerk' is directed to cause an affidavit of such publication contain- ing a copy'.hereof to be filed with the Director of Industrial Relations, State of California. PER DIEM WAGE - CRAFT, CLASSIFICATION OR TYPE OF WOR~b%N NOT SPECIFIED The rate for each craft, classification'or type of workman which is not herein specified, shall not be less than the prevailing rate paid in such craft, classi- fication or type of work as provided in the collective bargaining agreements established for San Mateo County and should there beno such agreement for the --- particular craft, classification or type. of workman to be employed on the project, then the prevailing wage rate shall be the prevailing rate paid in such craft, class- ification or type of work as determined pursuant to Labor Code Section 1770, et seq. 3. HOLIDAY AND OVERTIME RATES The rates for legal holidays, overtime work and allowances for vacations, pensions and health and welfare benefits, apprenticeship and other training programs authorized by Section 3095 shall be as set forth in the collective bargaining agreements applicable to the particular craft, classification or type of workman to be employed on the project as provided in Labor Code Section 1773 and related sections. 4.' TRAVEL AND SUBSISTENCE PAYMENT The rate and amount for travel and subsistence payments shall be that defined in the applicable collective bargaining agreements filed in accordance with Labor Code Section 1773.8.
