CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION REGARDING A CONTRIBUTION
TO THE GELLERT BOULEVARD EXTENSION
PROJECT ASSESSMENT ~ DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City Council has duly considered the staff report dated
February 18, 1975, from the City Manager, signed by the Director of Public
Services, Subject: City Participation - Gellert Boulevard, Westborough
Boulevard to ROwntree Way; and
WHEREAS, Thomas Callan, owner of the majority of the area included in
said Assessment District and adjacent to said proposed improvement, has
represented to the City Council that the location of a national retail estab-
lishment with a projected sales volume of approximately Ten million dollars
($10,000,000) annually, is pending, and the annexation of a parcel owned
by said Thomas Callan is now pending before the Local Agency Formation Commis-
sion, and both matters relate to the need for such an appropriation and the
assignment of an early priority to the improvement of said Gellert Boulevard;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council therefore desires to establish a capital improve-
ment budget item for said contribution and assign a priority therefor, taking
into consideration said representations;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco hereby
includes in the capital improvement budget for 1976-77 a contribution to the
Gellert Boulevard Extension Project Assessment District in the lesser of the
following two sums: (1) the sum of One hundred twenty-three thousand two

hundred forty dollars ($123,240) as computed in the referenced staff report,
or the actual cost of the items described in said report.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a
regular meeting held On .the day of :~aroh 3 , ,
