HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 41-1976 RESOLUTION NO. 41-76 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION COMMENDING LEO ESERINI. WHEREAS, Leo Eserini contributed to the welfare of this com- munity during the complex demanding period of the City's growth and development and thereby provided sound basis for its future, and WHEREAS, his public service included twenty years as a mem- ber of the South San Francisco Unified School District Board of Trustees, with five years as Chairman of said Board, and included service as Vice Chairman and Clerk of said Board, and WHEREAS, his public service also included membership in the School Board Association of the County of San Mateo, and WHEREAS, he continues to pursue the public's interest by participating as a member of the Committee on School District Organization, having served two years as a member and now being reappointed for a four-year term, and WHEREAS, he has aided the civic activities of this community by participating in the Elks Lodge, Young Men's Institute, Italian- American Citizens Club, Rod and Gun Club, and Sons of Italy, and WHEREAS, he participated in the industrial activities of this community by his forty-two years'tenure with Bethlehem Steel, one of the industrial giants of this community, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco desires to recognize his contributions and commend him therefor; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the Council does hereby commend Leo Eserini for the contributions made to this community and his continuing contributions as above recited, and does hereby record this resolution in the permanent records of this City in recognition thereof.
