CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO,STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO
ABSENCE OF CITY COUNCILMEN
AND PROVIDING FOR RELATED
MATTERS.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and two members of the City Council intend
to depart the City of South San Francisco on or about June 22, 1976, for a
vacation tour of Italy and other countries, with two Councilmen returning
on or about July 14, 1976, and the Mayor returning on or about July 22,
1976; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor intends to include in the tour a visit to
Lucca to develop a"Sister City" relationship; and
WHEREAS, the Council desires to provide for the following:
(a) Any consents, permissions or other authorizations
to be absent from the City;
(b) Adjournment of meetings and continuation of hearings
set for July 7 and 21, 1976; and
(c) Designation of a Mayor pro tem (Vice Mayor) during the
absence of Mayor Padreddii and Mayor pro tem (Vice Mayor)
Damonte until the return of Mayor pro tem Damonte on or
about July 14, 1976.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco, as follows:
1. Permission to be Absent. Permission is hereby granted to Mayor
Padreddii, Mayor pro tem (Vice Mayor) Damonte and Councilman Mirri to be
absent from the City of South San Francisco for the tour of Italy and other
countries for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from and after June 22,
1976, unless further absence is required by reason of being absent upon
business of the City, or consent to extension is granted by the Council.
2. Adjournment of Meetings and Continuation of Hearings.
2.1. The City Clerk shall adjourn the meeting of July 7 and
21, 1976, and the hearing on UP 75-334, Earl's Bookstore,
to July 28, 1976, at 7:30 p.m., in the E1 Camino High
School's Little Theater, 1320 Mission Road, South San
Francisco, California, in the manner provided for in the
Government Code of the State of California.
2.2. The Appeal in UP 75-334, Earl's Bookstore, now set for
July 21, 1976, is hereby ordered continued to July 28,
1976, at 7:30 p.m. in the E1 Camino High School's Little
Theater, 1320 Mission Road, South San Francisco, California,
and the City Clerk is directed to immediately give written
notice of the continuance to the appellant, Planning Com-
mission and public, the latter by a notice of continuance
published in the Enterprise-Journal.
3. Designation of Mayor pro tem. Councilman Borba is hereby desig-
nated Mayor pro tem during the absence of Mayor Padreddii and Mayor pro tem
(Vice Mayor) Damonte, so serving until the return of Mayor pro tem (Vice
Mayor) Damonte on or about July 14, 1976.
