'~;HEREAS, the citY Council desires to approve said plans'and specif~ca-
t'ions, authorize the work and call for sealed proposals;

· 2. The City Clerk of said Cii~y is hereby direci~ed to publish by

certified check, payable to the order of the City of South San Francisco, in
an amount equal to not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid figure, or by a
bond in said amount drawn in favor of said City and executed by a corporate-
surety. Said check shall be forfeited by bidder, or sa~d bond shall become
