RESOLUTION TO REMOVE WEEDS

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO DECLARING WEEDS UPON STP, EETS, SIDEWALKS AND VA-
CANT AND UNIMPROVED PROPERTY TO BE A pLrBLIC NUISANCE AND
FIXING THE TIb~E FOR PUBLIC HEARING AND ORDER ABATING SAID
N~3ISANCE.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Fran-
cisco as follows:
Said City Council hereby determines that weeds which have attained
such a large growth as to become a fire menace when dry, or which are
other-wise noxious or dangerous, and which are now growing upon public
· streets, sidewalks and vacant and unimproved property in the City of
South San Francisco as set forth in Appendix A to this resolution des-
crib.lng said properties by lot and .block numbers and hereby referred
to'and made part of this resolution by said reference as if set forth
verbatim, to be a public nuisance which must be abated by their re-
moval. Otherwise said weeds will be removed and the nuisance abated by.
t~u~ City authorities, the cost and expense of such removal shall be
assessed upon all lots of land from which such weeds are removed, and
such cost will constitute a lien upon such land until the same is paid.
Said City Council hereby fixes Wednesday , the 17th
day of November , 19 76 , at the hour of 7'30 P.M.,
West Orange Avenue Library, 840 West Orange. Avenue, South
San Francis'nO, i~n th~'room known as the Auditorium as the tJane and place
when and where any and all persons b~ving any objections may appear be-
fore said City Council and show cause why the work of said proposed re-
moval of weeds shall not be carried out in accordance with this resol-
ution.

The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause this· resolution to
~'.be published two successive weeks in the "Enterprise-Journal", said
publication to be completed ten days prior to said hearing; and to
· post a Notice to remove weeds and of the hearing on, adjacent to or
near the property from which the weeds are to be removed, said post-
ing to be completed ten days prior to said hearing; and further to
mail a copy of the Notice to the owner of the lot from which weeds
are to be removeR.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly
__ introduced and adopted at a reg~ar meeting of the City Council
~of the City of SoUth San Francisco held on the 2o~ day of
