HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 173-1976RESOLUTION NO: 173-76 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION REGARDING WATER CONSERVA- TION IN THE CITY OF~SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. . . RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, State of California, that WHEREAS, the winter of 1975-1976 was one of the driest winters of record, and WHEREAS, review has indicated that in California dry winters tend to follow with a dry'winter the following year, and WHEREAS, the Council is committed to a program of water conservation throughout the.City of South San Francisco in order to forestall the deple- tion of the remainder of the water supplies, and WHEREAS, the Peninsula Water Agency and the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors have requested that this City review its internal water use and to take measures to reduce this use: NOW, THEREFORE, IT HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED, as follows: 1. That each department head is directed to review their internal water use and to take measures to reduce this use where appropriate. 2. That the citizens of South San Francisco are urged to reduce the use of water where appropriate. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 15th day of December , 19 76 , by the following vote: AYES~ COUNCILMEN Richard A.
