RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
CERTIFYING COMPLETION OF THE FINAL
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FOR THE
GATEWAY REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
RESOLVED BY THE MEMBERS OF THE REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO:
WHEREAS, in furtherance of the objectives of
the Community Redevelopment Law, the Agency has undertaken
a program for the clearance and reconstruction or rehabilita-
tion of slum and blighted areas in the City and in this
connection is engaged in carrying out a redevelopment project
known as the Gateway Redevelopment Project (hereinafter
referred to as "Project"), in an area (hereinafter referred
to as "Project Area"), located in the City; and
WHEREAS, in furtherance of the implementation of
Project the Agency has undertaken various redevelopment
activities and has approved and adopted a Redevelopment Plan
for the Gateway Redevelopment Project and has submitted said
plan to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Environmental
Quality Act as amended, a draft Environmental Impact Report
has completed the review process and has analyzed impacts and
policies contained within the Gateway Redevelopment Plan,
including all of the general activities proposed within the
-- Redevelopment Plan,all the specific activities proposed by the
Gateway Redevelopment Specific Plan as set forth within the
Redevelopment Plan and the implementing Precise Plans of approval
contained therein; and
WHEREAS, the Final Environmental Impact Report for
the Gateway Redevelopment Project has been prepared and submitted
to this Agency; and
NOW, THEREFORE, it is found and determined as follows:
1. The Agency finds and declares and hereby certifies
that the final Environmental Impact Report has been completed in
accordance with the requirements of the California Environmental
Quality Act and the state guidelines and that the information
contained therein has been reviewed and considered by the Agency
staff, its consultants and this Board.
2. The Agency further finds, determines and declares that
the adverse environmental effects resulting from the Gateway
Redevelopment Project including the provisions of the Gateway
Specific Plan and Precise Plans as set forth within the Redevelop-
ment Plan have been significantly mitigated by the measures and
descriptions set forth in the Draft Environmental Impact Report
and in the Comments and Responses section of the Final Environmental
Impact Report.
ADOPTED, signed and approved this 3rd day of June ,
1981.
