DISCUSSION'
The City received a letter from the new owner of property at 314 Baden Avenue
regarding a problem on Municipal Parking Lot No. 5. A narrow,.~slbPe~on.:the-
parking lot is unpaved and .the resulting erosion has deposited dirt against the
wood frame house. This creates a potential for dry rot and prohibits the owner
from accomplishing planned renovation.
The-City Engineer's office inspected the site and developed a plan t~ correct the
problem by removing the dirt and installing a concrete swale to avoid further
erosion. Parking meter posts have also been undermined by the erosion and
would be re-set to a vertical position.
The-Parking Place commission, at its regular meeting on January 12, reviewed the:
problem and proposed corrective action in detail and authorized the repair in '
accordance with the plan~......~-The property owner is in agreement with the proposed
corrective action. -:'.~?'L'L'
