CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION REGARDING THE PRIORITY PLAN FOR
EXPENDITURE PURSUANT TO THE STATE, URBAN AND
COASTAL PARK BOND ACT OF 1976
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the Council having reviewed the Staff Report dated
March 16, 1977, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit "A",
does hereby approve and endorse the allocation for expenditures
pursuant to the State, Urban and Coastal Park Bond Act of 1976, to
provide ninety percent (90%) of the funds to cities and special park
and recreation districts, and ten percent (10%) to regional agencies.

I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San'
Francisco at an adjourned re~.ular meeting held on the 23rd
day of March , 1977, by the following vote:

26-77 ADOPTED MARCH 23, 1977
TO: Honorable City Council
SUBJECT: Priority Plan for Expenditure -."State, Urban and
Coastal Park Bond Act of 1976"
ACTION: Resolution
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that City Council approve the priority plan as adopted by
the technical committee of San Mateo County. The Cities and Special Park
and Recreation Districts are to receive 90~ of the Funds allocated and the
regional agencies 10~.
DISCUSSION:

The County Board of Supervisors appointed Director of Parks and Recreation,
Duane Hattison, to call all the Park and Recreation Directors in the County
to discuss allocating some 2 million plus dollars as provided for in
Proposition 2 passed in 1976. The committee composed of 19 representatives
voted unanimously to follow the allocations as were set for the 1974 Bond Act.
The policy allocation, as approved by all the Cities and Special Districts in
1974, was to provide 90~ of the funds to'Cities and Special Park & Recreation
Districts and 10~ to regional agencies. South San Francisco's portion would
be approximately $180,000.
The priority plan of expenditure of the total county a]location shall be
approved by at least 50 percent of the cities and districts within the County,
and by the County Board of Supervisors.
