CITY. COUNCIL, CITY. OF SOUTH.SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH
THE CONSULTING-ENGINEER FOR WASTEWATER
TREATMENT FACILITY UPGRADING, SOLIDS MANAGE-
MENT AND SANITARY .SEWER-SYSTEM EVALUATION
SURVEY' (PROJECTS" C~06, 1235~ AND' C,06; 1267 ~)'
WHEREAS, the Cities of South San FranciSco, San Bruno, Millbrae
and Burlingame, situated in the County of San Mateo, State of California,
and the City and County of San Francisco, acting by and through its
Airport Commission, constitute a group of agencies referred to as the
North Bayside System Unit, for the purpose of accomplishing wastewater
projects C-06-1235 and C-06-1267, more particularly hereinafter defined;
and
WHEREAS, said projects are described in the followi.ng project
reports:
Project Report C-06-1235. A project report entitled
"North Bayside System Unit, Wastewater Treatment
Facilities Improvements (Subregional Dechlorination
Facilities, South San Francisco -~ San Bruno Treatment
Plant Improvements)", dated January 3, 1977, and
prepared by Jenks and Harrison, Consulting Sanitary
and Civil Engineers, 543 Byron Street, Palo Alto,
California 94301.
Project Report C-06'1267. A project report entitled
"North Bayside System Unit, Subregional Wastewater
Sol ids Management Project", dated August, 1976,
prepared by Jenks and Harrison, Consulting S~nitary

.and Civill Engineers;
WHEREAS, said agencies, with the City of South San Francisco as
lead agency, desire to design the following components of said projects:
1. Subregional Dechlorination Facilities
described in Project Report C-06-1235,
Section .IX.
2. South San Francisco-San Bruno Treatment
Plant Improvements described in Project
Report C-06-1235,
3. Infiltration/Inflow analysis and work de-
scribed in Project Report C-06-1267,
Section IX, for South San Francisco-San
Bruno, Burlingame, Millbrae and Airport,
and,
WHEREAS, the North Bayside System Unit Technical Committee, composed
of representatives from each of the named agencies, selected RETA/Nolte
and Associates, Consulting and Environmental Engineers, 1633 Old Bayshore
Highway, Burlingame, California 94010, as the consulting engineer for said
design, and have recommended an agreement with said engineers therefor;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco that:
1. Execution of Consulting Engineer's Agreement by Lead Agency.
The City Council of the City of South San Francisco, lead agency
for Projects C-06-1235 and C-06-1267, does hereby authorize the execution

of the following entitled agreement with RETA/Nolte and Associates,
Consulting and Environmental Engineers, upon receipt of authorizations
from the participating agencies: "Agreement, Consulting Engineering Ser-
vices in Connection with a Program of Wastewater Treatment Facility Up-
grading, Solids Management and Sanitary Sewer System Evaluation Surveys,
Project C-06-1235 and Project C-06-1267."
2. Authorized Signature.
Frank J. Addiego, Director of Public Services, is hereby author-
ized to so execute said Agreement on behalf of the City of South San
Francisco and the participating agencies.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly intro-
duced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
at an adjourned regular meeting held on the 23rd day of March
1977, by the following vote:
