A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE
THE PORTION OF CANAL STREET WITHIN
LOT 1, BLOCK 3 OF BENNETT AND KAHNWEILER
INDUSTRIAL SUBDIVISION.
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco,
California, as follows'
1. This Resolution is adopted pursuant to the StreetVacatiOn Act of
1941 (Streets and Highways Code Section 8300, et seq.).
2. Notice is hereby given that Wednesday , the 18th day of
~a~ , 197~ at 7'30 p.m., which time is not less than fifteen

(15) days from the date of passage of this Resolution, in the West Orange
Avenue Library (in the room referred to as the Auditorium), 840 West Orange
Avenue, South San Francisco, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place
when and where all persons interested in., or having objections to, the pro-
posed vacation of a portion of Canal Street
, __
as hereinafter described, may appear before said Council and be heard.
3. Not less than ten (10) days prior to the hearing 'date, a copy of
this Resolution shall be published once in the Enterprise-Journal, a news-
paper of general circulation printed and published in said City in the man-
· ner prescribed by law for publishing ordinances in said City.
4. Notices of the vacation, stating the passage of the Resolution of
Intention and the time and place of hearing shall be posted conspicUously
along the line .of the street, or part thereof, proposed to be vacated at

least ten [10) days before the date.set for the hearing and not less than
three (3) notices shall be posted.
5. The public interest and convenience require, and it is the inten-
tion of this Council to vacate a portion of Canal Street
as shown on the map entitled
"Location Map"
which is on file in the office of the City Clerk, and which ~is more particu-
larly described in Exhibit A attached hereto.
6. A copy of this Resolution shall be submitted to the Planning Com-
mission of the City of South San Francisco for a report and recommendation
in accordance with the Government Code of the State of California.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly intro-
duced and adopted by the City CoUncil of the City of South San Francisco
at a regular meeting~ held on the 20th day of April ,
